Airbus announced on 12 June that Airbus Defence and Space and Ukraine’s SkyFall had signed a memorandum of understanding at ILA in Berlin. The announcement describes cooperation in air defence.

Airbus presents its command-and-control and system-integration expertise as complementary to SkyFall’s technology. This is the companies’ description of the partnership. The release does not establish a delivery schedule or a completed joint deployment.

For other Ukrainian technology companies, our interest is the integration work such agreements require: interfaces, testing responsibilities and support arrangements. A memorandum can start that process. Evidence of a working combined system would answer a different question, and should be assessed separately.
