The Commission’s continuing EDF expert call lists 1 May to 31 October 2026 as the application period for the 2026 evaluations. Work can include assessing proposals, ethics or budgets, and selected experts are remunerated.

Applicants need an expert number and a valid personal security clearance before expressing interest. The Commission says EU Confidential is sufficient. A criminal-record certificate is not the same document.

Check whether the required clearance is already valid and your expertise matches the work. Company teams should separate this individual role from their own funding applications and identify potential conflicts. Joining a database does not guarantee an assignment.
