EDF SME calls: applications close on 29 September

The non-thematic calls require a consortium. A single SME cannot apply on its own.

The EUDIS SME calls page gives 29 September 2026 at 17:00 Brussels time as the application deadline for the EDF 2026 calls it describes. The non-thematic routes cover defence research and development.

It distinguishes research calls for SMEs and research organisations from development calls for SMEs. The page states that applications require a consortium of at least three companies in three different Member States. Applicants must check the actual call documents for the full conditions.

With the deadline approaching, our priority would be to check the partnership and submission responsibilities. Confirm who coordinates, who supplies each annex and whether the work fits the selected topic. A strong technology cannot compensate for an incomplete submission.
